Types of Advertising Messages from Brands* that Would Annoy Internet Users in Chile, Oct 2019 (% of respondents)

Description

Internet users in Chile were asked what types of advertising messages would annoy them once Chile is out of a state of emergency and the curfew has been lifted. Responses include: about what happened during the emergency period, national unity, the difficulties people went through, among others.

Note

The October 2019 Chilean protests were in response to an increase in the Santiago Metro's subway fare, an increase in the cost of living, privatization and inequality prevalent throughout the country.

Methodology

Data is from the December 2019 GfK report titled "Marcas Post-Crisis: ¿Cómo seguimos?" 2,657 internet users ages 18+ in Chile were interviewed during October 27-28, 2019. Data was weighted to be representative of age, gender, socioeconomic status and region.
