How Would Parent Internet Users in Canada Estimate Their Child's Total Screen Time* On a Typical Weekday? (% of respondents, by age, March 2019)
Description
Parents who have at least one child between the ages of 2 and 12 years old in Canada were asked how long they would estimate their child's spending time with screens on a typical weekday. Screen activities focused on creating (such as writing, making videos/music, drawing/photography/other artwork), ... learning (educational such as arithmetic practice or learn to read), consuming content for fun (watching shows or movies), social interaction and communication (email, text, social media) and non-educational gaming (including casual games such as Sago Mini or Candy Crush, immersive games such as Minecraft etc).More
Methodology
Data is from the September 2019 Angus Reid Institute and TVO. 2,200 parents/guardians in Canada who are members of Angus Reid Forum were surveyed online during March 15-27, 2019. Parents or guardians have at least one child between the ages of 2 and 12 years old. The margin of error for the sample is +/-2.1 percentage points, 19 times out of 20.Chart Title
