What Is the Primary Reason that US Retail Marketers Advertise on Amazon? (% of respondents, Dec 2018)

Description

The primary reasons that US retail marketers advertise on Amazon is because of the ad performance and the size of the audience available on Amazon.

Methodology

Data is from the February 2019 Nanigans and Advertiser Perceptions report titled "Amazon's Advertising Ascent: What Retail Marketers Really Think." 100 advertising executives at large US retailers were surveyed during November-December 2018. Individuals surveyed reported advertising as their primary job function and held titles of director-level (43%) and VP-level or above (57%). All retailers surveyed generate annual online sales of $100-$200 million (60%) or $200 million+ (40%). Of the 100 surveyed, 86 indicated that they have advertised with Amazon.
