Methodology
Data is from the October 2018 Salsify report titled "How Leading Brands Transform to Win Market Share: 2019 Trend Analysis." 200 US brand marketers who were director-level or above at companies that make or sell products to consumers or businesses were surveyed online by CITE Research during July 2018. 37% of the respondents said their company had annual revenues of over $1 billion. The industries the respondents worked for include B2B (33%), CPG (groceries) (30%), CPG (nongrocery) (45%), hardlines (11%), medical devices/goods (9%), softlines (10%) and other (3%).
