Methodology

Data is from the June 2018 Valassis report titled "Malls on the Rebound? Science fiction or could it really happen?" Approximately 1,000 US internet users ages 18+ were surveyed online via Google Consumer Surveys in May 2018. Respondents were all identified as regular mall shoppers who had visited a mall more than three times within the past year. A mall is defined in the traditional sense of an indoor shopping center. Valassis is a direct mail and marketing services company.
