Visibility/Engagement of US Public vs. Private CEOs on Their Company's Social Media, 2016 (% of total)

Methodology

Data is from the March 2017 Weber Shandwick report titled "Socializing Your CEO IV: The Engagement Factor." Weber Shandwick analyzed the digital presences of CEOs from the top 50 public US companies in the 2016 Fortune 500 and Fortune's 25 Most Important Private Companies. The latter includes 29 individuals due to co-CEOs or multiple managing partners at some companies. An additional analysis was conducted using the top 50 companies from the 2016 San Jose Mercury News "Silicon Valley 150." Weber Shandwick is a global communications agency.
