Data is from the quarterly collection of push notification performance data across Android and iOS. The study spanned Q1 to Q3 2023, covering February to October, with a focus on diverse industries such as retail, BFSI, travel & hospitality, and media and entertainment. The analysis incorporated key metrics including impressions, clicks, CTR and conversion rates. Note: Q1 is taken from Feb to April 2023, Q2 is May to July, and Q3 is Aug to Oct 2023.

Data represents activity among MoEngage clients, broader industry metrics may vary. Push notification delivery rate is the ratio of impressions to the number of messages successfully sent. Additional notes: Broadcast push notifications are blasts sent out to a large audience base. Behavior-based push notifications are based on individual customer preferences, actions, purchase trends, and overall behavior. Customer Journey-based push notifications are sent out with various message versions across different channels and at different times based on the customer's lifecycle stage. Retail includes apparel & fashion; jewellery & home; consumer electronics; e-commerce; e-commerce (multiple categories); retail; and retail sports. BFSI includes banking; fintech; crypto; and insurance. T&H includes hotels, airlines, logistics, and cabs. Media & entertainment includes classified; music; OTT; and video streaming.
