The findings: Building relationships with young, affluent customers is important for any financial institution’s (FI’s) long-term success. Global Banking and Finance recently compiled a list of characteristics that Gen Zers and millennials look for in investment products, including:
- A digital-first mindset. Millennials and Gen Z are reshaping wealth management, preferring digital, hybrid solutions that combine technology with human expertise. They’re attracted to features like instant messaging with an advisor and online community membership.
- Alternative investments. Younger investors are shifting away from traditional stock-and-bond portfolios, with 80% considering alternatives including private equity, commodities, and real estate.
