Average ad revenue per user (AARPU) is an essential metric for marketers when analyzing how well a media company or channel can monetize its user base. In eMarketer’s latest US ad spending forecast, we look at which platforms are doing it best.

eMarketer defines AARPU as total ad revenues for a given platform divided by the number of users; it excludes subscription revenues. For this metric, spending and revenues are interchangeable terms.
