Visa’s value-added services push can help the network maintain its momentum despite shaky economic conditions

The news: Visa rolled out three new value-added services (VAS) for its range of clients including acquirers, payment facilitators, and merchants.

  • Visa launched Authorize.net 2.0, an updated version of its current gateway. The 2.0 version includes a streamlined user interface, integrated AI capabilities, and support for in-person card readers and tap to phone. It will roll out in Q2 in the US and to additional countries next year.
  • The company also rolled out Unified Checkout, which lets merchants accept more than 25 card and alternative payment options. It will be available in the US and in a pilot state in other markets in Q3.
  • And it launched ARIC Risk Hub, which is now available globally. The solution uses adaptive AI to protect acquirers and merchants from fraud and financial crime.
