U.S. Bank is making a play to earn more small-business customers

The news: U.S. Bank has introduced a Spend Management platform and an all-in-one Business Essentials checking account to help small businesses better manage finances in one place, per American Banker.

How we got here: The bank surveyed 1,000 small-business owners last August and found that these customers prefer bundled digital banking services. That means they want one single platform for payments, operations management, and other banking needs.
