Sezzle’s market share pales in comparison to competitors, despite Q4 blowout

The news: Sezzle’s total revenues doubled on a yearly basis in Q4 2024, totaling $98.2 million, per a press release.

Gross merchandise volume (GMV) shot up 42.1% YoY to $2.5 billion. And net income increased 19.8% YoY to $25.4 million.

Growth drivers: Users made more frequent purchases with the buy now, pay later (BNPL) option. Sezzle said this heightened activity came from subscribers, returning users, and first-time shoppers alike.
