30% of clinicians spend ample time correcting errors caused by AI

The news: Nearly one-third of US healthcare professionals using AI spend up to three extra hours each week correcting the technology, according to a new report from Corti and YouGov. The report explores healthcare AI use in several countries, including a US-based survey of 500 clinicians.

Digging into the data: 38% of US physicians are using AI in their day-to-day work. Experiences with AI reported by clinicians are generally positive—the most commonly cited sentiments among survey respondents were optimistic (49%), excited (46%), and grateful (46%).
