Methodology

Data is from the April 2026 ThredUp report titled "2026 Resale Report," based on research conducted by GlobalData. 3,268 US adults aged 18+ were surveyed during January-February 2026 about their their attitudes towards apparel, secondhand products, and resale products. Additionally, 50 US fashion retailers and brands were surveyed during January-February 2026 about their sustainability and circular fashion goals. GlobalData’s analysis of the secondhand market includes consumer surveys, retailer tracking, public data, data sharing, store observation, and secondary sources. ThredUp also incorporated internal customer and brand performance data.
