US Medicare Advantage Enrollment Share, by Firm/Affiliate, March 2024 (% of total)

US Medicare Advantage Enrollment Share, by Firm/Affiliate, March 2024 (% of total)

Methodology

Data is from the August 2024 KFF report titled "Medicare Advantage in 2024: Enrollment Update and Key Trends" as cited in company blog. This analysis uses data from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Medicare Advantage enrollment, benefit, and landscape files for the respective year. KFF uses the Medicare Enrollment Dashboard for enrollment data for March 2023 and 2024, and the CMS Chronic Conditions Data Warehouse Master Beneficiary Summary File (MBSF) for March of earlier years. KFF calculates the share of eligible Medicare beneficiaries enrolled in Medicare Advantage, meaning they must have both Part A and B coverage.
