Factors That Would Make US Adults Avoid Seeking Mental Health Treatment*, Feb 2024 (% of respondents)

Methodology

Data is from the May 2024 West Health and Gallup survey as cited in company blog. 2,266 US adults ages 18+ who are members of the Gallup Panel were surveyed online during February 2-14, 2024. Gallup uses probability-based and random sampling methods to recruit its panel members. Gallup weighted the obtained samples to correct for nonresponse. Nonresponse adjustments were made by adjusting the sample to match the national demographics of gender, age, race, Hispanic ethnicity, education, and region. Demographic weighting targets were based on the most recent Census Bureau's Current Population Survey figures for the US population ages 18 and older.
