Primary Benefit for Which US Internet Users Would Share Additional Personal Data, Jan 2020 (% of respondents)

Description

A survey of US consumers asked which benefits would make them more willing to share additional personal information. Responses include better health outcomes, safer cities/driving, improvement to existing products/services, more tailored promotional offers and new products & services.

Methodology

Data is from the February 2020 Politico and Qualcomm "5G Global Survey" conducted by PSB Research. 7,711 internet users worldwide were surveyed online during December 17, 2019-January 14, 2020. There were 701 respondents in each country: Brazil, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, the UK, the US and Vietnam. A separate sample of 1,375 IT-savvy individuals who are involved with tech-related decision making was also surveyed. The results have a margin of error of +/- 1.1 percentage points for the global population and 3.7 for any individual country.
