How Concerned Are US Adults About the Influence of Made-Up News on the 2020 Presidential Election? (% of respondents, Nov 2019)

Description

This chart shows how concerned consumers in the United States are about the influence of made-up/"fake" news on the 2020 presidential election

Methodology

Data is from a January 2020 Pew Research Center report titled "U.S. Media Polarization and the 2020 Election: A Nation Divided." 12,043 US adults ages 18+ from the American Trends Panel (ATP) were surveyed online during October 29-November 11, 2019. The American Trends Panel is a nationally representative panel of randomly selected US adults. Panelists who do not have internet access at home are provided with a tablet. The margin of sampling error for the full sample is +/-1.43 percentage points.
