Description

CEOs were asked which important actions they take to build/maintain employee trust within their organization. Leading responses include communication regularly, be transparent/honest, gather feedback/listen and follow through on commitments.

Methodology

Data is from the January 2020 "YPO, "2020 Global Pulse Survey on Trust." 2,960 CEOs worldwide were surveyed via online questionnaire during November 1-18, 2019. Respondents are YPO members in 115 countries representing 38 industry sectors which include Africa (5%), Asia-Pacific (12%), Australia/New Zealand (3%), Canada (7%), Europe (13%), Latin America (9%), Middle East/North Africa (5%), US (45%) or other (0.1%) at organizations with a company focus of private nonprofit (2%), private for-profit (88%) or public (10%). The margin of sampling error is +/-1.84 percentage points at the 95% confidence level. YPO (Young Presidents' Organization) is a nonprofit global leadership community of CEOs.
