Data is from the November 2019 International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and TrustArc report titled "Measuring Privacy Operations 2019." 327 privacy professionals worldwide were surveyed during October 2-21, 2019. Respondents were IAPP members and were located in Asia (4%), Canada (9%), EU (24%), UK (13%), US (43%) or other (7%) in companies with number of employees of 1-250 (25%), 251-1,000 (17%), 1,001-5,000 (20%), 5,001-25,000 (19%) or 25,000+ (19%) in the high-regulated industry (healthcare, financial services, insurance, pharma - 35%), unregulated industry (technology/telecom, manufacturing, and software - 33%), legal/consulting services (16%), government/education/nonprofit (11%) or other (5%) with a core function within the company of IT/data/information security (11%), marketing (22%), privacy/legal/compliance (81%) or other (6%).
