US Adults' Test Results on Understanding* Select Digital Topics, June 2019 (% of population)

Description

This chart shows the percentage of adults in the United States who answered correctly, incorrectly or who weren't sure of the answer to questions around technology. Data is for June 2019.

Methodology

Data is from an October 2019 Pew Research Center report titled "Americans and Digital Knowledge." 4,272 US internet users ages 18+ from the American Trends Panel (ATP) were surveyed online during June 3-17, 2019. The American Trends Panel is a nationally representative panel of randomly selected US adults. Panelists who do not have internet access at home are provided with a tablet. The margin of sampling error for the full sample is +/-1.7 percentage points.
