Online grocery sales and sales growth were estimated for the biggest online grocery retailers. Some of the retailers included in the chart were Amazon, Walmart, Kroger, Ahold, HelloFresh and Costco.Methodology
Data is from the June 2019 Edge by Ascential "Digital Top 10 List" as cited in Supermarket News blog. Edge by Ascential estimated online grocery sales through retailers' websites and apps and added estimated sales volume from third-party firms such as Instacart. Edge by Ascential defined groceries as items typically purchased in supermarkets.Chart Title
