Do Digital Buyers in Latin America* Feel Making Digital Purchases Is Safe? (% of respondents, by country, June 2018)

Description

Overall, digital buyers in Latin America feel it's safe to make an online purchase, but users in Peru, Brazil and Colombia remain a bit more skeptical.

Methodology

Data is from the January 2019 Minsait report titled "Tendencias en Medios de Pago 2018" conducted by The Cocktail Analysis in collaboration with Analistas Financieros Internacionales (Afi). 3,600 internet users in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Peru, Portugal and Spain ages 18+ (n=400 per country) were surveyed online in June 2018. Respondents had a personal or joint account with another person in one of the following places: a bank, savings bank, credit union, savings and loan cooperatives, credit institutions, micro-credit or another type of formal financial institution. The margin of error is +/-4.9 percentage points with a 95% confidence level. Minsait, an Indra company, is a digital transformation and information technology consultancy in Spain and Latin America.
