Data is from the March 2019 thredUp report titled "2019 Resale Report" conducted by GlobalData. GlobalData's assesment of the secondhand market is determined through ongoing retail tracking, official public data, data sharing, store observation, consumers surveys and secondary sources. These inputs are used by analysts to model and calculate market sizes, channel sizes and market shares. Additionally, GlobalData conducted a survey of 2,000 US female consumers ages 18+ during December 11, 2018-January 6, 2019.
