Methodology

Data is from the November 2018 IDG report titled "The Challenge of Change: IT in Transition." 200 US IT executives from various industries were surveyed online during September 5-12, 2018. Respondents were employed in an IT-related function at the director level or above and were employed at ... companies with 1,500 or more employees that are pursuing or plan to pursue digital transformation initiatives. Respondents identified their job title as chief data officer (10%), chief digital officer (2%), CIO or CTO (32%), CSO or CISO (5%), director (31%), executive VP, senior VP or general manager (14%) or VP (8%) in a company with employees numbering between 1,500-2,499 (13%), 2,500-4,999 (24%), 5,000-7,499 (14%), 7,500-9,999 (11%), 10,000-19,999 (10%), 20,000-29,999 (5%), 30,000-49,999 (11%), 50,000-99,999 (4%) or 100,000 or more (11%).More
