Digital Sources Account for 84% of Physicians’ Weekly Medical Reading Time (% of total time spent per week reading medical content by US physicians, by channel, July 2025)
Methodology
Data is from the September 2025 M3 MI "2025 Medical/Surgical Sources & Interactions + Digital Insights Study." 3,421 US physicians across 23 medical specialties were surveyed online during April-July 2025. Respondents were weighted based on the size of the universe of each specialty to which they belong. Respondents were also weighted based on their gender and age group within the specialty to which they belong. Age groupings by gender are determined separately for each specialty. M3 MI drafted an email invitation in which recipients were asked to participate in a brief, online survey. A monetary incentive was promised to be sent upon completion.
