Methodology

Data is from the October 2024 Harvard Business Review report "Optimizing the Use of Marketing Technology to Build Customer Trust" in partnership with SAS. 388 business professionals worldwide were surveyed online during June 2024. Respondents were drawn from Harvard Business Review's readership (magazine/newsletter readers, customers, and HBR.org users). Respondents were located in Asia-Pacific (20%), Europe (22%), Latin America (7%), Middle East and Africa (13%), and North America (38%), and in companies with a number of employees of 50 and over. Respondents were from companies in education (10%), financial services (11%), manufacturing (10%), technology (19%), and other (<9%).
