Methodology

Data is from a September 2022 First Insight report titled "The State of Consumer Spending: Inflation’s International Impact." 6,000 adults ages 18+ in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the UK, and the US were surveyed online during September 2022. The samples (n=1,000 per country) were proportionately balanced by generation, gender, and household income range.
