US Adults Who Feel that Major Tech Companies Should Be More/Less Regulated by the Government, May 2018-May 2022 (% of respondents)

Methodology

Data is from a May 2022 Pew Research Center article titled "Support for more regulation of tech companies has declined in US, especially among Republicans." 5,074 US adults ages 18+ from the American Trends Panel (ATP) were surveyed online during April 25-May 1, 2022. The American Trends Panel is a nationally representative panel of randomly selected US adults. Panelists who do not have internet access at home are provided with a tablet and wireless internet connection. Interviews are conducted in both English and Spanish. The margin of sampling error for the full sample is +/-2.0 percentage points.
