Methodology
Data is from the March 2021 The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC), The Cecil G. Sheps Center for Health Services Research. Information is collected from various sources, including web searches, news alerts, analyses of Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services data, information exchange with the National Rural Health Association, the federal Office of Rural Health Policy, and from submission by the public. Once rural hospitals at risk are identified, they are monitored to gather information on why and when the closure will occur.Chart Title
