Methodology

Data is from the September 2020 Phase5 report titled "COVID-19 and Financial Services: How the Pandemic Has Impacted Banking, Insurance, and Investing" in collaboration with Dynata. 1,001 US adults ages 18+ were surveyed online during July 2020. Results were weighted by the US population 18+. Note that the sample is, on average, wealthier than the US population. Respondent income include the following ranges: less than $50K (12%), $50-74K (24%), $75-99K (23%), $100-149K (24%), and $150K+ (17%). Amount of investable assets for respondents included less than $25K (19%), $25-99K (18%), $100-249K (20%), $250-499K (24%), and $500K+ (9%). Phase5 is a marketing research company.
