Info that Internet Users in China Will Use to Consider Resuming Travel After the Coronavirus Outbreak, Feb 2020 (% of respondents)
Description
Internet users ages 18+ in China were asked when they will consider traveling again after the Coronavirus outbreak.
Methodology
Data is from March 2020 Ipsos report titled "Optimism and Anxieties during COVID-19 Outbreak - Chinese Consumers in Difficult Time." For assessing public opinion on COVID-19, 1,512 internet users ages 18+ in China were surveyed online during February 14-16, 2020. Respondents were male (34%) and female (66%) between the ages of 18-29 (32%), 30-39 (48%), 40-49 (15%), 50-59 (4%) and above 60 (1%). Respondents were drawn from tier 1 cities (53%), tier 2 cities (30%), and cities of tier 3 and below (16%) in China. Respondents had a master's degree and above (17%), college/undergraduate (74%) and high/secondary vocational school and below (9%). For assessing impact of COVID-19 on consumers, 1,104 internet users ages 18+ in China were surveyed online during February 14-16, 2020. Respondents were male (42%) and female (58%) between the ages of 18-29 (51.8%), 30-39 (44.4%), 40-49 (3.7%), 50-59 (4%) and above 60 (0.1%). Respondents were from tier 1 cities (39%), tier 2 cities (41%), and cities of tier 3 and below (20%) in China. Respondents had a master's degree and above (8%), college/undergraduate (80%) and high/secondary vocational school and below (12%). The survey was conducted during the midst of the Coronavirus outbreak.
