Internet users worldwide were asked about the leading causes of distrust in the technology industry as a whole. The chart shows that responses included misusing personal data, automation, excessive wealth and not paying enough taxes.Methodology
Data is from the April 2019 Dentus Aegis Network "Digital Society Index 2019: Human Needs in a Digital World" in partnership with Oxford Economics. 43,000 internet users worldwide ages 18+ were surveyed online during July-August 2018. Sample sizes were adjusted according to population size to ensure they are representative. Dentsu Aegis Network is a digital marketing communications company.Chart Title
