Why Are US Female Internet Users* More Likely to Shop In-Store than Digitally? June 2018 (% of respondents)

Note

Data was provided to eMarketer by Valassis.

Methodology

Data is from the August 2018 Valassis "2018 Valassis Purse String Survey." 6,279 internet users ages 18+ were surveyed on RedPlum, a digital coupon site, during May 15-June 15, 2018. The survey was part of a sweepstakes for a chance to win one of two $250 gift cards. Respondents had to be legal residents of the US and complete the survey to be eligible for the sweepstakes. Of the 6,279 respondents, about 6,100 provided their information to be entered into the sweepstakes drawing. Respondents were female (85%) and male (15%). Respondents identified their ages as 18-35 (14%), 36-52 (34%), 53-71 (46%) and 72+ (7%). Respondents identified their race/ethnicity as American Indian/Alaskan Native (1%), Asian/Pacific Islander (3%), black or African American (7%), Hispanic (5%), white/Caucasian (72%), multiple ethnicities/other (5%) and prefer not to answer (8%). Valassis is a direct mail and marketing services company.
