Methodology

Data is from the July 2018 Databricks report titled "Conquer the AI Dilemma by Unifying Data Science and Engineering" conducted by IDG. 200 IT executives at companies in Europe and the US with 1,000+ employees were surveyed during April-May 2018. All respondents are either considering or using artificial intelligence (AI) technology. The survey was fielded by IDG's CIO Research Services. Databricks is a provider of data science and data engineering platforms.
