Devices to Which US Internet Users Have Given Voice Commands, Feb 2018 (% of respondents)

Description

According to February 2018 data, the device that US internet users have most commonly given voice commands to is the smartphone, at 57% of respondents. Voice control was also used with tablet, laptop, and desktop at 29% of respondents.

Respondents were asked, "Have you spoken to or issued commands to any of the following technology devices?"

Methodology

Data is from the April 2018 PwC report titled "Consumer Intelligence Series: Prepare for the voice revolution." 1,000 US internet users ages 18-64 were surveyed online in February 2018. In addition, PwC conducted two focus group sessions in March 2018.
