Description

In 2017, the majority of in-store visits to select big-box retailers in the US was at Walmart, with a share of 65.5%. The second most frequented big-box store was Target at 14.7%, followed by Costco, Sam's Club, and Meijer.

Methodology

Data is from the February 2018 PlaceIQ report titled "The Year in Location: 2017." PlaceIQ analyzed location-based trends using their proprietary software comprised of anonymous and unique data collected from 190 million US devices during 2017. PlaceIQ is a location-based data and technology company.
