Mcommerce Issues that Resulted in Cart Abandonment According to Digital Buyers in Germany, the UK and US, Nov 2017 (% of respondents)

Methodology

Data is from the December 2017 Addressy report titled "Fixing Failed Deliveries: Improving Data Quality in Retail" conducted by Loudhouse. 304 retail professionals in Germany (n=100), the UK (n=103) and the US (n=101) were surveyed in November 2017. The retailers identified their selling model as both online and offline (90%) and online only (10%). The retailers identified the number of employees at their company as 51-100 (25%), 101-250 (24%), 251-500 (18%), 501-1,000 (20%) and 1,000+ (13%). Respondents identified their job titles as ecommerce manager/director (30%), marketing manager/director (20%), head of customer experience (19%), CRM manager/director (17%), online payments manager (6%), owner (4%) and MD/CEO (4%). A separate survey of 2,020 digital buyers ages 18-65+ in Germany (n=506), the UK (n=506) and US (n=1,008) who buy digitally and have a good experience of shopping digitally was conducted online in November 2017. Respondents were female (51%) and male (49%). Respondents identified their ages as 18-24 (14%), 25-34 (28%), 35-44 (20%), 44-55 (16%), 55-64 (12%) and 65+ (10%). Respondents identified the frequency with which they made purchases digitally in the past 3 months as 2-3 times (38%), 4-5 times (25%), 6-10 times (18%), 11-15 times (9%), 16-20 times (4%) and more than 20 times (6%). Addressy is an address verification software company. Loudhouse is the specialist research division of Octopus Group.
