Description
This chart compares the leading mobile app categories among Android and iOS devices. Categories are ranked by the number of downloads during Q3 2017 and compared to the previous year.Methodology
Data is from the November 2017 Sensor Tower report titled "Store Intelligence: Q3 2017 Data Digest." Worldwide activity on the Apple App Store and Google Play during July 1-September 30, 2017 was analyzed using Sensor Tower's Store Intelligence platform. Third-party Android stores were excluded. Only 1 download per account is counted toward download totals. Downloads of the same app by the same user to multiple devices and re-installs of the same app by the same user are excluded. Sensor Tower is a mobile advertising analytics platform.Featured In
