Data is from the April 2016 Social Fresh report titled "The Future of Social" in collaboration with Firebrand Group and Simply Measured. 551 social media marketers worldwide were surveyed online during March 8-17, 2016. Respondents worked for a brand (64%), agency (30%) or vendor (6%). Respondents identified their role as C-level (13%), director/VP (34%), entry-level (5%), manager (41%) and owner/founder (7%). Respondents were from Australia (3.5%), Canada (7.1%), India (2.0%), Italy (1.4%), New Zealand (1.6%), South Africa (1.6%), the UK (5.3%) and the US (64.4%). The primary industries in which the respondents worked were consulting (8.4%), education (11.5%), healthcare (6.8%), nonprofit (8.7%), software (8.1%) and retail (5.5%). Social Fresh is a social media training and education company. Simply Measured is a social analytics platform. Firebrand Group is a brand consultancy.
