    Data is from the December 2016 Octane Research report titled "Digital by Default - Digital India 2017: Marketing Trends and Forecast." 350+ marketing professionals from 300+ companies in India were surveyed via online links, offline forms and face-to-face meetings during 2016. Respondents included CEOs, CMOs, directors, founders, marketing heads and marketing managers. Octane Research collaborated with Direct Marketing Association of India (DMAi), Retailers Association of India (RAI), and Internet & Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) and Digital Defynd to recruit respondents.
