The news: Zoom is growing from a leading video-conferencing tool to an AI agent provider aimed at transforming it into an invaluable business productivity hub.

The company’s latest updates to AI Companion—which will be available in April and included for free on paid accounts—can turn meetings into action items, handle scheduling and content creation, and even execute tasks, per Yahoo.

Zoom will also launch a $12/month Custom AI Companion, featuring AI-generated avatars of users for team messaging next month, while a personal AI coach feature will launch in June.
