Key executives depart OpenAI as it abandons nonprofit roots to cash in on AI

The news: The departure of three more top executives at OpenAI indicates the generative AI (genAI) pioneer is getting closer to completing its transition from a nonprofit AI research project to a multibillion-dollar for-profit business reshaped around CEO Sam Altman
