Google files antitrust complaint against Microsoft over cloud lock-in practices in EU

The news: Google filed a formal antitrust complaint with the European Commission (EC) that accuses Microsoft of monopolistic practices that lock in customers and make it expensive for Microsoft Azure customers to change cloud providers.

Google, which ranks third globally in the cloud-computing market behind Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure, stated that Microsoft imposes a 400% markup for customers moving Windows software to rival cloud providers.
