Google adds ‘what people suggest’ feature to users’ health queries

The news: Google is making new updates that it hopes will improve its AI-powered search experience for consumers looking up health information.

Here’s what’s changing: A new mobile device feature “What People Suggest” will use AI to include insights from people who have similar health-related experiences. For example, someone who asks about the best exercises for people with arthritis will see what others in online discussions have suggested, with links to learn more.

Google is also expanding AI Overviews to cover thousands more health topics, and in more countries and languages, including Spanish, Portuguese, and Japanese.
