Digital car-buying tools can help banks capture more auto loans

The news: Holding a customer’s primary banking relationship provides little guarantee of capturing their auto loan. 

Nearly two-thirds (64.1%) of auto loan holders got their loan from a lender that wasn’t their primary bank, according to EMARKETER’s “US Banking Consumer Habits” survey, compared with just 29.3% who stayed with their primary institution.
