The news: Amazon Pharmacy will roll out same-day prescription medication delivery in 20 new US cities next year.

  • Earlier in 2024, Amazon announced same-day pharmacy delivery in a handful of cities, including New York City and Los Angeles. The service will soon expand to Boston, Dallas, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, San Diego, and several other metropolitan areas.
  • In most cases, Amazon Pharmacy customers who live in one of these areas will be able to order medications by 4 pm and receive them at home by 10 pm.
  • By the end of 2025, 45% of US consumers are expected to be eligible for free, same-day delivery of their prescription medications.
