Methodology

Data is from the June 2022 Deloitte “Merchants Getting Ready for Crypto: Merchant Adoption of Digital Currency Payments Survey.” 2,000 US senior executives at retail organizations were surveyed during December 3-December 16, 2021. Respondents were from the consumer goods and services industry. 10% of respondents come from each of the following subsectors: cosmetics, digital goods, electronics, fashion, food and beverages, home and garden, hospitality and leisure, personal and household goods, services, and transportation. 75% of respondents’ organizations were primarily B2C firms, 15% primarily B2B, and 10% primarily D2C. All respondents had at least a general knowledge of digital currencies, and most were a primary decision-maker when deciding their organizations’ strategy for digital currency acceptance.
