Description

Chart shows the types of information people would be willing to share with websites in 2018 vs. 2019. Information includes birthdate, financial information, first and last name, gender, marital status, political affiliation, race/ethnicity, religious preference and sexual orientation, among others.

Methodology

Data is from the August 2019 Advertising Research Foundation (ARF) "2nd Annual Privacy Study" provided to eMarketer. 1,105 US internet users ages 18+ were surveyed online during the week of May 26, 2019. Results were weighted to US population estimates for age, gender and region.
