Work-Related Tasks Where US Adults Have Used Generative AI for Assistance, Oct 2024 (% of respondents)

Note

Respondents were asked, "How have you used an AI application in the last twelve months at work? (Only asked of those who said 'yes' to using an AI application at work.)"

Methodology

Data is from the January 2025 Google and Ipsos report titled "Our Life With AI: From innovation to application." 21,043 adults ages 18+ worldwide were surveyed online during September 17-October 8, 2024. The survey was conducted in Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Nigeria, Poland, Singapore, Spain, South Africa, South Korea, United Arab Emirates (UAE), the UK, and the US, with approximately 1,000 respondents per country. The credibility interval for each country except the US is +/- 3.8 percentage points; these were non-probability surveys. As the US survey was probability-based, it has a margin of error of +/- 3.2 percentage points.
